Ingredients
Scale
6 large eggs
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons fresh chives
finely chopped
Instructions
- Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot, covering with water, and bringing to a boil. Once boiling, cover, remove from heat, and let sit for 12 minutes.
- Remove the eggs from hot water and place them in cold water to cool. After cooling, peel the eggs carefully.
- Slice each egg in half lengthwise and scoop out the yolks into a bowl. Set the egg whites aside.
- Mash the yolks and mix in mayonnaise, yellow mustard, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Add a tiny dash of orange food coloring if desired for a vibrant hue.
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites, creating a generous mound that resembles a pumpkin.
- Garnish with chopped chives as stems and a light dusting of paprika for added flair.
Notes
For a more pronounced pumpkin color, adjust the amount of orange food coloring to your preference. These deviled eggs are best served chilled.
